6000! That's the number of associates in the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR). This division is the innovation engine of Novartis, focusing on powerful new technologies that have the potential to help produce therapeutic breakthroughs for patients.
The Biological Engineering and Gene Therapy group at NIBR is working to turn the latest in leading edge gene therapy and nucleic acid science into treatments and are looking for a Analytical Scientist to join the team. If you are passionate about analytics and want to apply your skills to the gene editing / nucleic acid fields we would like to hear from you. We are seeking a creative and skilled scientist to apply advanced analytics to innovative nucleic acid-based therapies such as mRNA, siRNA and AAV.
What you'll be doing: * Provide characterization and quantitative analytics expertise to support projects from exploratory characterization through NHP studies. * Establish and monitor specifications for various nucleic acid and gene therapy impurities. * Evaluate and apply new assays using a variety of analytical methods for biological, chemical and physical characterization of AAV and therapeutic oligonucleotides (siRNA, mRNA, anti-sense oligos). * Write experimental protocols, internal reports and present results at meetings. * Perform extraction and bioanalysis of AAV and oligo therapeutics from a variety of matrices to measure biodistribution, PK, stability and tissue targeting.
