The Public Health Research Center (PHRC) at NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking a Bioinformatician for the UAE Healthy Future Study. The role of the bioinformatician will focus on supporting the PHRC genetic research program that aims to understand the genetic basis of health outcomes and traits related to cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. Position duties include performing bioinformatic data analysis of genomic datasets (e.g. whole genome genotyping and sequencing) using various tools and working directly on the design and implementation of analysis pipelines that support research needs in coordination with NYUAD's Core Bioinformatics and HPC teams. The successful candidate will also write documentation and user guides for the tools, pipelines and resources available and participate in user training sessions and scientific writing. The candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills with a high level of proficiency in English and the ability to work effectively in a team as well as individually.

PhD or MSc with experience in bioinformatics or computational biology
Advanced skills with programming and experience with HPC environments
Experience with human genomic data analysis
Experience in managing genomics databases
Experience in population genetic analysis
This position is not located in the United States. You must be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
