Responsibilities:Postdoctoral fellowship positions are available immediately in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Minnesota to investigate molecular mechanisms that regulate cardiac hypertrophy and remodeling in response to stresses. The main objective is to determine how canonical Wnt/ beta-catenin signaling interacts with TCF7L2 isoforms regulate cardiac gene expression and structural remodeling. Gene expression and epigenetic modifications will be investigated and interpreted in the context of TCF7L2 isoform recruitment. Spatial genomics and NGS will be utilized to investigate regional differences in gene expression and Wnt signaling.
