The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant, Molecular Genetics and Immunology to join Laboratory of Molecular Genetics and Immunology. The Research Assistant will assist with in vitro and in vivo experiments using immunological-based techniques with cancer and infectious disease mouse model systems. The Research Assistant will employ standard molecular biological/biochemical techniques involved in recombinant DNA manipulation and purification, produce proteins/antibodies using cell culturing protocols, and perform mouse husbandry, maintenance, and genotyping. Additional responsibilities include helping with organizational tasks for the lab.
Bachelor's degree in science required; emphasis in biology or chemical sciences preferred. Experience with standard molecular biological/ biochemical techniques and computer skills required. Experience with flow cytometry a plus. Must have basic laboratory training and be willing to work with mice. Must be organized, motivated, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
