| ResponsibilitiesThe Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is seeking to hire a Hospital Lab Tech 2 to join their Translational Pathology Core Laboratory (TPCL). Primary activities include managing Institute of Precision Health (IPH) biosamples and generating reports of sample availability, collecting and accessioning samples into the Biobank, ensuring QA/QC of specimens collected, training additional PRP staff on IPH workflows, interacting with ancillary laboratories (Technology Center for Genomics & Bioinformatics, UCLA Neuroscience Genomics Core), and generating and submitting weekly generation sample metric reports to Embedded Clinical Research and Innovation Unit. Qualifications•Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) •Proficient in using a computer •Must be able to work weekends, holidays and other shifts as needed •Collage Degree with a major in an applicable science OR two years of college courses in science plus two years of applicable experience is highly desirable UCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
