The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery is seeking a Junior Research Specialist. Responsibilities will include wet lab experiments, bioinformatics as able, and other duties as assigned. Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have formal teaching responsibility. Specialist are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions.
This research position is for individuals who must possess (or in process of obtaining) a bachelor’s degree, preferably in biological sciences, neuroscience, bioinformatics, or a related field. Applicant’s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Applicants must have obtained the degree requirement for the Specialist rank by the time of hire. The position requires a background in wet and/or dry lab experience with a preference for those with basic science research laboratory experience.
Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed through the recruitment period. Salary and rank will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and training.
