Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Medical Oncology department at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Fellow position is to conduct research investigation in the following areas under the supervision of the Principal Investigator: i) signaling pathways downstream of KRAS that mediate cross-talk between pancreatic cancer cells and the stromal microenvironment including immune cells and fibroblasts; ii) the immunosuppressive microenvironment in pancreatic tumors and identification of novel therapeutic targets to increase efficacy of immune checkpoint therapy and chemotherapy; iii) identification and functional validation of novel genes and pathways driving initiation, metastasis and therapeutic resistance of gastrointestinal cancers. The position provides opportunities to study within multidisciplinary groups and be involved in clinical/translational research collaborations. The post-doctoral fellow is expected to perform research experiments, and analysis of a specialized nature under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator with the goal of establishing an innovative, collaborative research program. Qualified candidates must be in the process of completing training for PhD and/or MD graduate degrees with a strong publication record. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
