The Department of Genetics at Yale University is looking to fill a research track faculty position for an Assistant or Associate Scientific Manager, depending on experience. The position will provide key strategic support to further the Department’s core values of diversity, innovation and excellence in biomedical research. The primary function of the role is to work closely with individual faculty across a range of areas relating to their scientific and professional growth. Members of the Department of Genetics conduct basic, clinical and translational research using genetics and genomics of model organisms (yeast, fruit fly, worm, zebrafish, mouse) and humans to understand fundamental mechanisms of biology and disease. Areas of active investigation include genetic and epigenetic regulation of development and disease, molecular genetics, stem cells and other dynamic cellular systems, regulation of gene expression, computational biology and human genomics.
