Research Lab Technician III/Supervisor - Neurosurgery

The Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a highly experienced Research Lab Tech III. The Research Lab Technician will manage the laboratory, work on several research projects, and will perform studies in vitro to investigate the molecular mechanisms affecting pituitary tumors, meningiomas, and other brain tumors. Utilized techniques will include DNA/RNA extraction, genomic and epigenetic profiling and sequencing, gene expression augmentation using shRNA and CRISPR, cell culture work, and drug development. This position will collaborate with principal investigator and other researchers to plan design and conduct highly technical and complex research projects. Analyzes research data and provides interpretations. Will contribute to the development of research documentation for publication. Will supervise other employees engage in laboratory technical services on a regular or project basis. We are seeking an independent individual with direct experience and established skills to conduct technical, complex laboratory experiments in a clinical research setting using laboratory and safety protocols. Must be able to work independently as well as work well with other personnel staff.
