![]() University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF06294 Department of Molecular, Cell & Developmental Biology LECTURER DESCRIPTION: Full-time/part time lecturer positions available for the Department of Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology. Percentage of employment will vary according to number of courses taught. Positions are limited duration appointments not to exceed one year without a further competitive search. DUTIES: Teach lecture courses on molecular, cell, and developmental biology, cancer, metabolism, epigenetics, stem cell biology, politics and ethics; biomedical ethics; plant development and plant environment interactions; and other topics as needed. Plan and coordinate discussion activities for multiple sections of courses; supervise course teaching assistants; manage the acquisition and maintenance of course materials; supervise student projects; and maintain office hours. QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. degree in the biological sciences; demonstrated experience in undergraduate teaching at the university level; experience with laboratory instruction in the biological sciences. Level of appointment and salary commensurate with qualifications, experience and duties. TERM OF APPOINTMENT: Fall 2021, Winter 2022 and/or Spring 2022 quarters. DEADLINE: The Department of Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology at UCLA maintains a pool of applicants for instructional positions.
