Dr. Brian Luna is seeking a Research Lab Technician II to join his laboratory. The focus of the lab is the study of antibiotic-resistance bacterial pathogens. The Research Lab Technician should have extensive work with mice; moreover, preferred experience with mouse tail-vein injections, IP injections, and necropsy procedures. Previous experience with bioinformatics, bacterial genetics, DNA cloning and synthetic biology, and tissue culture experience are desired. Other job responsibilities include:
This is a grant funded, full-time, fixed term position. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education: Bachelorâs Degree. Master Degree desired Preferred Experience: Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and research protocols, especially with mice. Minimum Education: Associate's degree, Specialized/technical training, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum educationMinimum Experience: 2 yearsMinimum Field of Expertise: Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and research protocols. Knowledge of computer analysis techniques and ability to provide routine analysis and interpretation of research data.
