The Department of Pharmacology & Pharmaceutical Sciences of USC School of Pharmacy is seeking a Postdoctoral-Research Associate to conduct research focused on determining the structures and functions of non-coding RNAs that regulate ribosome biogenesis. These non-coding RNAs are frequently mutated in human neurological disorders but their mechanisms of action remain poorly understood.
Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. and strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry is preferred. The individual should be highly self-motivated, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of molecular cloning, cell culturing, flow cytometry, cell imaging, and animal models is a plus.
Minimum Education:Â Ph.D in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
Preferred Experience:Â Â Biochemistry, Computational Biology experience.
