Position Summary: The postdoctoral researchers will be part of the Institute for Modeling Collaboration and Innovation (IMCI) Modeling Core. They will participate on research funded by COBRE grant number P20-GM104420 and in short-term Modeling Access Grants to the University of Idaho Research Community.
Areas of interest include:
Epidemiology, especially zoonotic transmission to humans
Modeling pathogen evolution
Modeling decision making
General systems theory
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. by the time of appointment modeling-related discipline. Experience with modeling as demonstrated by publications in the field. Expertise in at least one area of mathematical, computer programming, or statistical modeling as demonstrated by publications in the using that expertise. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on biomedical problems. Complementary skills in mathematical, computer programming, or statistical modeling. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
