Prenatal Genetic Counselor
UTHealth
Our team of 13 genetic counselors in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UTHealth is recruiting to add to our dynamic group. We are seeking a prenatal genetic counselor who will cover high risk obstetric clinics in the greater Houston area, including primarily Spanish speaking clinics. Spanish fluency is highly preferred, but all applicants with a passion for counseling underserved populations are encouraged to apply. No experience required. Our large, diverse patient population provides a wide variety of counseling indications. In addition to clinical duties, we are seeking a counselor with interests in education and research as we are home to the University of Texas Genetic Counseling Program and actively engage in clinical research. Houston is the 4th largest city in the U.S., but remains affordable. Houston is great for foodies, sports fans, art lovers, and theater goers plus we enjoy warm weather year round. We also have a great genetic counseling community, making it easy to meet new people. Counseling expectations:
