Associate Professor & Chair - Department of Diagnostic and Health Sciences, Memphis - 21000000AD Description The Department of Diagnostic and Health Sciences in the College of Health Professions at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) invites applications from qualified candidates to assume a full-time, 12- month tenure track position. Rank at appointment will be Associate Professor or Professor depending on experience and qualifications. Ideal candidate is a good communicator and seeking professional growth, freedom to develop new programs, and opportunities to craft new academic initiatives and collaborations. Responsibilities include department administration, teaching, research, clinical activities, faculty mentor, supervision, preparation of departmental budget, and management of budget and resources. Candidates having a funded research program are particularly encouraged to apply. The preferred candidate will be research-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and seeking a leadership opportunity to direct the efforts of a collegial faculty housed on an academic health center campus. The Department of Diagnostic and Health Sciences:Located within the College of Health Professions at UTHSC, the DDHS offers a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, a Master of Science in Cytopathology Practice, a Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, a Master of Science in Health Informatics and Information Management, and certificates in several areas.
