Essential Functions: POSITION SUMMARY: A Staff Scientist position is available in the Payton Lab (https://wupathlabs.wustl.edu/payton/) in the Division of Laboratory and Genomic Medicine, Department of Pathology and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine. The candidate will join a dynamic and driven research group focused on using ‘multi-omics’ approaches to discover new pathways of cancer pathogenesis and immune response, which we then investigate using experimental laboratory models. Our recent studies identified immune response pathways that are disrupted in lymphoma, as well as auto-immune disease and viral infection and several projects now focus on elucidating the mechanisms that drive them. This position will assist in developing and conducting research projects, including experimental design, data analysis and documentation of experimental results. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required Qualifications: Master’s degree with four years of experience in research lab operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience equaling nine years. Preferred Qualifications:
Salary Range: The hiring range for this position is $46,779 - $63,170 annually. Benefits: This position is eligible for full-time benefits. Applicant Special Instructions: WORKING CONDITIONS: This position works in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. The individual must be physically able to wear protective equipment and to provide standard care to research animals. Internal Applicant Instruction: This position is grade R10.
