Postdoctoral Associate in the CLEF Lab (Cortex, Learning, Epigenetic and Function) in Behavioral Neuroscience

Position Summary: The CLEF Lab in the Behavioral Neuroscience Area of the Psychology Department at Rutgers University is seeking applications for an NIH-funded postdoc position for rodent (rat) electrophysiological, molecular and behavioral research aimed at understanding learning and memory processes in the brain. Consideration will be given to candidates with experience using in vivo neurophysiological techniques in animal models, and with interest in performing research that bridges the gap between neurophysiological and molecular process underlying plasticity processes in the nervous system. Applicants should be scientifically driven and dedicated to research involving animal models of human abilities in learning, memory, and audition/hearing. Minimum Education and Experience: Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field with experience working with animal models of behavior. Recent PhD graduates are encouraged to apply. A strong background in neurophysiological techniques is required. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong programming skills in Matlab, R, or Python and advanced data analysis techniques.
