Post Doctoral Fellow

Position Summary:

Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey is seeing a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Medical Oncology department at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey to conduct research on tumor immunology and computational biology with a focus on immune editing, immune escape, neoantigens, clonal architecture, and antigen discovery. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to establish an innovative, collaborative research program addressing important and fundamental questions. Interdisciplinary and translational approaches are encouraged. Qualified candidates must be in the process of completing training for Ph.D. and/or M.D. graduate degrees with a strong publication record and looking to move to the next stage of their training.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Conducts multidisciplinary research in the area of tumor immunology and computational biology with a focus on immune editing, immune escape, neoantigens, clonal architecture, and antigen discovery.
• Prepares written reports of the research experiments.
• Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted.
• Gives oral presentations of the research.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant science with a focus on tumor immunology and computational biology.
• Candidates in all but degree (ABD) status will also be considered

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in immune editing, immune escape, neoantigens, clonal architecture, and antigen discovery.
