Location: Indianapolis Department: IUPUI Library & Information Science Position Announcement: The Indiana University School of Informatics and Computing – Indianapolis invites applications for one full-time lecturer-track faculty position in the Department of Library and Information Science. The appointment will begin August 1, 2021 at the Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus. This appointment is annually renewable, based upon satisfactory performance. This is a 10-month appointment, with opportunity to teach in the summer months as well. A committed educator is sought to join our department. We are interested in candidates with one or more of the following areas of expertise: Candidates must demonstrate effective teaching in an online environment and several years of professional (industry) experience in the area of expertise, a deep understanding of career opportunities in the information professions, and a passion for graduate student mentoring and success. Ideal candidates will also shape their teaching in ways that leverage the unique strengths of the School of Informatics and Computing and the IUPUI campus, including its interdisciplinary and collaborative environment and commitment to service and community engagement.
