Advanced degree in a scientific field is preferred with experience in student services as well as admissions and student recruitment, including recruitment of students from underrepresented populations.
Must possess superior written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong computer/database/web/document management skills.
Demonstrated financial literacy, familiarity with training grant development and administration.
Previous experience managing staff.
Higher education experience strongly preferred. Attention to detail is crucial.
The candidate must also be able to work effectively with all levels of staff and faculty; have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as the competence to work independently.
Must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
The position requires a strong customer service orientation, exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent judgment, tact, diplomacy, and flexibility.
