Application Review Date The First Review Date for this job is: February 2, 2021 Departmental Overview The teaching and research activities of the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology (MCB) concern the molecular structures and processes of cellular life and their roles in the function, reproduction, and development of living organisms. This agenda covers a broad range of specialized disciplines, including biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, structural biology, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, cell biology, developmental biology, tumor biology, microbiology, immunology, pathogenesis and neurobiology. The Robey lab is interested in how signaling pathways control cell fate decisions. By using T cell development and immune responses in the mouse as model systems, we can take advantage of the powerful genetic approaches available in the mouse, while learning about a mammalian immune system that is very close to our own. Our lab also makes extensive use of 2-photon imaging approaches to observe and analyze T cell behavior in real-time in situ. The Lab is seeking a Staff Research Associate at either the 2 or 3 level, depending on qualifications and experience, to support and facilitate the experiments of Robey Lab researchers.
