Assistant Professor (without Tenure) - Neuromuscular Disorders Research
Position Description The Department of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding research scientist to join the Wellstone Muscular Dystrophy Research Center, headed by Dr. JS Chamberlain. The successful applicant is expected to establish an independent research program focused on developing genetic treatments for the muscular dystrophies or related neuromuscular disorders. The Wellstone Center currently has approximately 12 full-time faculty members leading various programs on neuromuscular disease therapeutics. All members of the Center work closely together and have access to a Viral Vector Core lab as well numerous other state-of-the-art Core facilities for imaging, sequencing, gene expression and animal care.
