The primary purpose of this position is to support growing genomics lab with multifaceted investigations of genetic variation on host-pathogen interactions and immune system regulation. The Senior Bioinformatician would support cutting edge genomics and bioinformatic analyses supporting a suite of programs developed in Dr. Jeffrey Baileyâ™s laboratory as well as standard genomics pipelines for the analysis of variation and expression. The Senior Bioinformatician will work closely with the Principal Investigator and senior personal in the lab supporting and developing projects with collaborators world-wide.
This is a fixed term position with a current end date of 2/28/23, which may be extended based upon available funding.
Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in bioinformatics or computational biology with 3-5 years programming experience preferably in bioinformatics with genomic sequence-based analyses and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: PhD in bioinformatics or computational biology with 2 years programming experience. (Grade 10).
Required: Bachelor's Degree in bioinformatics or computational biology with 1-2 years programming experience preferably in bioinformatics with genomic sequence-based analyses and/or equivalent combination of education and experience (Grade 9).
