Job Type/Schedule: This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Department Name/Job Location: This position is in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions: This laboratory studies the human genetics of cardiovascular diseases. We use next-generation genetic approaches to map novel genes and pathways underlying complex and Mendelian forms of cardiovascular disease in humans complemented by traditional molecular biology techniques in cellular and animal model systems to provide mechanistic insights. We study these problems in hopes of leveraging our findings to improve clinical care and human health. Required Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with nucleic acid extraction, PCR, cloning, protein purification, western blots, cell culture, immunofluorescence, and culturing iPSCs. Salary Range: Base pay commensurate with experience.
