Summary Description: A postdoctoral scientist position is available in the lab of Songtao Jia in the Department of Biological Sciences, Columbia University to study the mechanism of epigenetic regulation. The Jia lab is focused on studying the mechanism of heterochromatin assembly in fission yeast using a combination of biochemical, cell biological, and genetic approaches and have also used yeast to model human diseases and identify new pathways that can serve as therapeutic targets.
