A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Laboratory of Dr. Xingyun Qi at Rutgers University- Camden, The State University of New Jersey, Department of Biology. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who are interested in mechanisms of plant developmental biology and plant stress tolerance. Successful candidate will use a combination of molecular, genetic, cellular and biochemical approaches to study the molecular mechanism how stomataare regulated by environmental factors. He/she is expected to independently conduct his/her own research project. Interested individuals should upload a CV, a cover letter describing research interests and previous research experience. Minimum Education and Experience:
- PhD in plant biology, biochemistry or related fields.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Preferably applicants should have obtained their PhD within the last 2 years. - Experience in plant biology, molecular biology and/or biochemistry is highly desired, as well as knowledge of basic cell biology and bioinformatics. - Self-motivated and hard-working. - Ability for independence and critical thinking. - Evidence of prior research productivity.
