A postdoctoral research position is available for a highly motivated individual to study the posttranslational regulation of c-Myc oncoprotein and ribosome biogenesis-associated proteins in cells and in vivo using genetic mouse models. Our overall goal is to understand molecular mechanisms underlying the regulation of the c-Myc oncogenic and the p53 tumor suppressor pathways and their implication in ribosome biogenesis and human cancer. Multidisciplinary approaches including molecular, cellular and biochemical, and mouse genetic analyses will be used. Candidates with Ph.D. and/or M.D. degrees and intensive training in the areas of molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include:
The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the universitys missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. There will be cell biology, biochemistry and animal work involved.
