Location: IU School of Medicine Department: IUSM - Pharmacology & Toxicology Campus: IU School of Medicine Indianapolis Position Announcement: The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Indiana University School of Medicine (https://medicine.iu.edu/departments/pharmacology-toxicology/) is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. We seek a dedicated scientist who will bolster our diverse research portfolio, adding to our strengths in cancer biology, neurodegeneration, drug abuse, neurotoxicology, infectious disease and pathogenesis. Candidates conducting cutting-edge research in any of these areas and employing state-of-the-art methods/models in biochemistry, cellular signaling, or epigenetics and gene expression are especially encouraged to apply. Successful applicants are expected to have or obtain external grant support, and participate in teaching pharmacology-based courses to graduate and medical students. Academic credentials and existing extramural grant support will determine faculty rank. Highly competitive start-up packages are available including ample laboratory space. The scientific environment at the School of Medicine and in the Department is highly interactive and productive with ties on campus to other Basic Science and Clinical Departments, as well as Research Centers and Institutes. Outstanding core facilities are also available.
