Position Number: 00600 School/College: School of Medicine Job Description: The Department of Dermatology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is pleased to announce a new recruitment for academic instructor. We are inviting applications from qualified candidates to work in the laboratory of Dr. Mohammad Athar. The position will be a non-tenure earning track, which will be offered through the Department of Dermatology, School of Medicine. The selected candidate will also be involved with data generation for the submission of grants and publications. Expertise in CHIPseq/ATACseq, eCLIP techniques are highly desirable. Finally, the successful candidate will assist in writing scientific manuscripts, grants, and reviews along with presenting outcome of research studies in scientific meetings. Department: Dermatology Assignment Category: Full-Time Tenure Status: Non-Tenure Track Required Qualifications: The candidate should have a Ph.D. The successful candidate should have experience in genetic and epigenetic work both in cell culture, as well as, in animal model system for performing preclinical investigations and mechanism-based studies to validate new molecular targets and assays, along with tissue collection, sample analysis.
