Professor - Gastroenterology, Memphis - 19000001VD Description The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology in Memphis, TN is currently recruiting for a Clinical Research Scientist. This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position. Strong clinical skills with interest in teaching and areas of research in the following areas; Neurobiology of central and peripheral sensitization in visceral pain disorders; Mechanisms of post-inflammatory peripheral afferent sensitization and Epigenetic and genetic regulation of intestinal permeability and enteric neuropathy. Other research-related duties may be required at the discretion of the director of the center. Qualifications Applicants must at a Ph.D. level and have a record of scholarly productivity to meet the criteria to be appointed at the rank of Professor. Further, applicants must have multiple, current extramural federal grants as a PI or MPI in the area of gastrointestinal dysfunction with a demonstrated focus on visceral pain disorders. Qualified applicants must have an MD degree or equivalent, be eligible for Tennessee Licensure, and be board-eligible or certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology & Oncology, and interest in clinical excellence and working with Hemophilia patients.
