Position SummaryPOSTDOCTORAL POSITION available to study impact of FSH doses during superovulation on oocyte and embryo quality, embryo survival, and associated mechanisms in cattle. Studies address the impact of FSH dose on ovulatory follicle function including steroidogenesis and premature luteinization, transcriptional control of oocyte and embryo quality, and identification of markers for excessive FSH treatment. Successful candidate will benefit from working within the dynamic and growing Reproductive and Developmental Sciences Program at MSU (http://rdsp.canr.msu.edu/). Studies involve a combination of endocrinology, oocyte pick up, IVF, embryo transfer, cell culture, advanced embryology, cell biology and molecular techniques, including genetic analyses, and transcriptome and pathway analysis. This position is initially for one year with a possibility of an extension based on performance and availability of funding. NIH salary scale applies.
Required DegreeDoctorate -Reproductive biology Minimum RequirementsExperience in microscopy, cell culture, IVF and RNAseq and bioinformatics analyses.
