Department Name/Job Location: This position is in the Department of Surgery. This position is for the Medical School Campus. Essential Functions: A funded position for a postdoctoral fellow is available in the Thoracic Immunobiology Laboratory at Washington University in St. Louis. Our laboratory studies transplantation immunology in mouse models. Our laboratory has developed several microsurgical techniques and intravital imaging platforms that have advanced research in transplantation. Our laboratory is federally funded and is highly productive. We have identified immune mechanisms that contribute to inflammation and tolerance after lung and heart transplantation. Our findings have been published in peer-reviewed journals, such as The Journal of Clinical Investigation, The American Journal of Transplantation, JCI Insight, Blood, and The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in bulk and single-cell gene expression profiles. Salary Range: Base pay commensurate with experience.
