Department: MED-Microbiology-Immunology Job Summary: Postdoctoral position in antibiotic resistance (Chicago, USA) The Yap lab is seeking one postdoctoral fellow to investigate the mechanism of antibiotic resistance in human pathogen Staphylococcus aureus, specifically on ribosome modification-mediated resistance. The lab is part of the Department of Microbiology-Immunology at the Northwestern University in downtown Chicago. URL: https://www.feinberg.northwestern.edu/sites/microbiology-immunology/research/research-areas/bacteriology.html#yap Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biophysics (or a closely related field) and should have less than 3 years of postdoctoral experience. The ideal candidates will possess significant experimental training in biochemistry and genetics, as evidenced by at least one first authorship publication in peer-reviewed journals. Previous experience in RNA/Ribosome biology, enzymology, and/or structural biology is highly desired. The stipend level will be commensurate with years of experience according to the NIH guidelines.
