New York University College of Dentistry is seeking a full-time Junior Research Scientist (Research Assistant) for the Juhee Jeong lab within the Department of Molecular Pathobiology. The incumbent will work on projects investigating molecular genetic mechanisms behind embryonic development and birth defects. The incumbent will assist the principal investigator's research by performing basic molecular biology tasks such as PCR and gel electrophoresis, and DNA/RNA extraction. The incumbent will also learn techniques using mice as a model system for research, such as dissection and tissue staining.
Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology. The candidate should have experience of working in a laboratory, and proficiency in molecular biology techniques is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
