General DescriptionA Postdoctoral position is available at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Department of Urology in the laboratory of Dr. Woonyoung Choi, Ph.D. The Department of Urology is one of the world's leading academic urologic research centers with a long track record of high impact research. The candidate will conduct Department of Defense (DoD) funded translational research on biomarkers for bladder cancer molecular subtypes. We have made an important contribution to identification and characterization of molecular subtypes of bladder cancer. We continue working along these lines with increased emphasis on tumor immunity and drug sensitivity. The project covers multiple disciplines including genomics, molecular biology and immunology.

QualificationsThe successful candidate will have:
The position will involve collaboration with bioinformaticians, physicians, basic scientists, and will integrate clinical, biomarker, and outcomes data. The research will provide ample opportunity for publication. Applicants should be capable of independent experimental design and manuscript preparation. An ideal candidate has an open mind, and is keen to learn, work and train in a highly collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
