The Indiana University Simon Cancer Center (IUSCC) in Indianapolis is seeking scientific investigators to join our dynamic cancer research team to conduct clinical translational research with a focus on cancer survivorship.
This position presents a unique opportunity to join the expanding NCI-designated IUSCC. The IUSCC is a patient care, research, and educational organization within Indiana University, located on the IUPUI campus in Indianapolis. The IUSCC research faculty include more than 200 investigators who are doing cutting edge basic, clinical and behavioral research. Established academic partnerships on campus include the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health, the Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, and the Regenstrief Institute (an internationally recognized medical informatics and healthcare research organization).
In addition to exciting growth within IUSCC, we have recently launched the Precision Health Initiative, created with the bold goal of addressing major and large-scale health problems facing humanity through multidisciplinary teams of outstanding, innovative researchers. $120 million will be invested to support recruitment, creation of new facilities, centers, and user platforms, including new gene editing and sequencing cores at the IUSM, and a GMP facility to produce cellular therapeutics. This investment will be leveraged with other IUSM resources to significantly expand the scope of this initiative.

Candidates must have a PhD or terminal degree in a health related field with a strong research track record of funding and publications in cancer survivorship research. Applicants should be eligible for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and have the ability to perform in an environment of collegiality and collaboration with the University's basic, clinical and population scientists, centers, and programs. Candidates will be expected to continue an independent NIH-funded research program.
