Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
Johns Hopkins University
General DescriptionA Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Lane at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. We use a combination of cutting-edge interdisciplinary approaches in immunology, molecular genetics, and immunohistochemistry to investigate the interaction between the immune system and epithelial cells in health and in chronic inflammatory disease. We are particularly interested in basic mechanisms underlying chronic rhinosinusitis with polyps, including subcellular pathways impacting progenitor cell physiology, innate immune defense, and epithelial repair. At this time, we are specifically focusing on how these pathways impact SARS-CoV-2 infection, in collaboration with virologist team members.
