The Riffell Lab (http://faculty.washington.edu/jriffell/) in the University of Washington (UW) Department of Biology is seeking one postdoctoral scholars. The Postdoctoral Scholar position/s are 100% FTE with an annual service period of 12 months.They are non-tenured positions and are not eligible for promotion.
A postdoctoral position in genome engineering and behavior in Manduca sexta moths is currently available in the Riffell and Daniel laboratories. The project focuses on developing CRISPR/Cas9-mediated knock-in approaches in Manduca sexta moths to tag and modify odorant receptor neurons in vivo and creating stable transgenic lines. Experience in CRISPR/Cas9 transgenesis, binary expression systems, and electrophysiology is preferred. Our laboratories are committed to having an inclusive and accepting environment.

You must have a Ph.D. by the start date of this position.
Experience in manuscript writing
Experience with project supervision and management
Track record in molecular neurogenetics and CRISPR/Cas9
Experience with Immunohistochemistry and tissue imaging
Experience in programming (Python, Matlab)
