Postdoctoral Associate
Rutgers University
Position Summary: The Kiledjian laboratory at Rutgers University is seeking outstanding postdoctoral research associates to study the regulation of RNA turnover in the control of gene expression. The laboratory is interested in understanding the molecular mechanism by which 5´ end cap epitranscriptomic modifications such as a nicotinamide adenine diphosphate (NAD) cap (see Jiao et al., 2017 Cell) or m6Am cap (see Mauer et al., 2017 Nature) regulate RNA levels and gene expression. Other areas of investigation include the role of decapping proteins in human cognitive disability. Please refer to the Kiledjian Lab web page (https://cbn.rutgers.edu/kiledjian-lab-home) for more information on research areas of interest in the lab. Minimum Education and Experience: We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. in molecular/cellular biology or a related discipline with good communications skills and a publication track record in a peer reviewed journals. Preference will be given to applicants with research experience in the areas of post-transcriptional gene regulation, RNA metabolism and computational biology.
