Requisition Number: 2019 - 258 Business Unit: Eppley Institute Department: Eppley Inst Research 50000686 Reg-Temp: Full-Time Regular Position Summary: Research projects will involve studies in B-cell malignancies (e.g., chronic lymphocytic leukemia; CLL) including disease biology, tumor microenvironment (TME) interactions, immune (dys)function as well as pre-clinical evaluation of novel targeted therapies such as novel small molecule inhibitors targeting B-cell specific kinases and the bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) family proteins. Pre-clinical evaluations of these novel therapeutics in primary cells, cell lines and/or mouse models will include evaluating their therapeutic benefits, their ability to modulate TME interactions and immune function in CLL, and potential resistance mechanism. Required Qualifications: Candidates should have PhD in cancer biology, immunology or related field. Basic and advanced molecular biology techniques (e.g., PAGE, WB, ELISA, molecular cloning, plasmid vectors engineering, transfection, and extraction of RNA,DNA and protein etc) flow cytometry (experimental/panel design and analysis) and sterile cell culture techniques including primary cell isolation. Supplemental Qualifications: Background in hematological malignancies as well as experience working with mouse models to evaluate novel therapies and cancer immunology is highly preferred.
