Associate Specialist - Department of Neurological Surgery The Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking an Associate Specialist. The specialist will work under the supervision of Dr. Annette Molinaro, the Director of the Biomedical Statistics and Informatics Division, and will play a critical role in managing all aspects of a brain tumor patient study. The specialist will support brain tumor studies with regard to project management, maintaining specific protocols, data post-processing, data entry, compliance with the regulatory and UCSF policies, and collecting data to meet the reporting requirements of industry and other granting agencies. The candidate must possess a master’s degree in a related field or must have at least 5 years of research experience. Experience performing and evaluating with statistical and bioinformatics analyses is required. We prefer applicants who have a master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in Statistics/Biostatistics or Informatics with experience in medical/cancer studies. Proficient programming skill in R and/or SAS is a must. The candidate must possess the ability of working on multiple projects simultaneously, have the flexibility of working both collaboratively and independently, and have excellent communication skills.
