The Rockefeller University seeks a Bioinformatics Specialist II, Genetically Encoded Small Molecules to join Genetically Encoded Small Molecules. The Bioinformatics Specialist will assist with research focusing on the analysis of genes involved in the biosynthesis of bacterial metabolites. Responsibilities include analyzing large Next-Generation sequencing data sets and presenting bioinformatics issues and solutions to audiences with varying levels of experience.

Ph.D. required. Experience analyzing large Next-Generation sequencing data sets required. Must be well versed in gene annotation software and graphics software for genomics. Programming skills and an in-depth knowledge of the software available for analyzing large sequencing data sets required. Must have the ability to work well both independently and in collaboration with lab members. We offer an excellent benefits package, tuition reimbursement and a competitive salary.
