Applications are invited for a full time Genetic Counselor position.
The Genetic Counselor will be a member of the Clinical Genetics team and participate in evaluation, management and follow up of pediatric and adult patients. The team consist of geneticists, residents and genetic counseling interns. There is currently a team Geneticists and 2 genetic counselors in addition to the open position.
Duties include coordination of patient visits, genetic testing and results coordination, clinical supervision of Master's level genetic counseling interns and participation in activities of the division including teaching conferences.
The position may be extended to other responsibilities as the Division expands.
Opportunities may be available to specialize in a specific disease group.
Candidates must possess a Master of Science in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling from an ABGC (American Board of Genetic Counseling) accredited institution and must be ABGC board certified or board eligible.
